In November 1989 I got my first english springer spaniel. We had have horses since I could remember but I really wanted an own dog. This little cutie was liver-white bitch Chivas Karelian Velvet, "Emma". My father would have wanted to take her for hunting with him but unfortunately she didn't used to the sound of shooting. That didin't bother me and I loved long walkings in forest with Emma. We trained a bit obedience but the most wonderful time we spended just being togehter. Because of Emma's lovely character (gentle and happy but also single-minded sometimes :)) I and Ville, my boyfriend at the time, decided to get an other springer to our home. Linda (Rochallor X-mas Spirit) arrived to our family in winter 2000 for being as Ville's hunting friend. We were, and still are, so blinded with this versatile race that when Emma got older we decided that it would be time for a dog working with me mainly in tracking and shows. So Ulpu (Rochallor Stargazer) joined to our Team.
In the beginning of the year 2004 the
first Riverando-litter saw the daylight, three active and cute girls and a boy.
Before the litter was born we had decided to leave a bitch puppy at home. So far we have trained obedience, agility, shows, hunting and tracking with our dogs. Nowadays I go shows and tracking and my husband Ville does hunting. We both have a license to be an official of working ability test for spaniels. I got the prefix "Riverando" in year 2002. My aim is to breed balanced english springers with good temperament. Family members who are loved and cared and who will love too. The original purpose, hunting, is very important too. - Hanna Lahtinen -
